We designed Cerepak™ packaging with several goals in mind:     

• Accurately record the date and time each dose is taken
• Improve data quality and statistical power in clinical trials
• Help clinicians more accurately determine actual efficacy levels
• Quickly determine when a non-responder is actually a non-compliant subject
• Provide child-resistance, as necessary

The result is packaging that eliminates speculation that often surrounds medication therapy. Rather than rely on patient diaries or memory, doctors can trust smart technology that records pill removal and feedback. Built-in prompts and educational inserts motivate compliance. And data analysis quickly helps differentiate non-compliant patients with non-responders.

Smart Blister Card
A tiny, hidden microprocessor and printed, conductive inks record the date, time and location of each pill removed from the package. Cerepak packaging offers the unique ability to track the removal of a specific tablet critical for dealing with dose titration (pill dosage changes) and for regimens with a mix of placebo and active drugs.

Smart Package
Cerepak packaging helps patients remember to take medication on time, every time through customized “prompt technologies” including light, sound or vibration. We can add integrated, one-push-button questionnaires to record Quality of Life (QOL) feedback (pain, insomnia, thirst) at each dosing event.

Unlike pill bottles, Cerepak packaging has generous space for bold branding and graphics, health education and dosing instructions. That means educational information and doctor's orders stay with the package to eliminate potential confusion.

Cerepak is highly scalable, portable and disposable, and it looks and functions very much like standard blister or injectable packaging. The package is available in several formats, including the award-winning Dosepak® packaging design that offers compliance-promoting features, child safety, ease of opening (senior-friendliness) and protection for the electronic module.

Data Uploads Easily for Analysis
Patients, health care providers and clinical trial organizations can easily upload dosing and questionnaire data to a computer or Internet-based compliance analysis software. Electronic compliance data can be used for FDA submission or as an intervention to improve compliance by empowering the patient to change their behavior based on actual compliance data.
