Center for Packaging Innovation
Based in Raleigh, North Carolina, the MWV Center for Packaging Innovation houses our development, engineering, and leading technology professionals. In this incubator for creativity, customers can collaborate with these teams and experience design possibilities through hands-on exposure to endless packaging geometries, materials and finishing options. Why can’t a beverage package double as a high-end hand bag? What if a pill box could digitally record a medication’s side effects? Discussions can get interesting.
Concept Testing
Our work doesn't end with an innovative idea. We need to know that consumers actually like what we’ve created, which is why we conduct quantitative concept screens to yield statistically projectable data on how consumers will react. Do they like the idea a little, a lot or not at all? Will they purchase it? How will they use it? Beyond testing the idea, we test the actual package. We develop prototypes and observe consumers as they use the product, handle it, open and close it. And we try to get at the elusive emotional factors such as “how does it make you feel?”
